Prince
Word spread that the “King” was defeated by this
legendary heroine. Who was she? How did she do it? The question rang in
everyone’s head. She was later known as Gunmeister. Not everyone knew how she
looked like, only the most vague idea.
‘Click’ went the
door as Gunmeister returned home. “Hi, sis!” her sister, Stardust greeted
her warmly. Another familiar looking boy waved at her. It was Stardust’s
senior, Crescent Prince. “Back so early today? Any new victories?” a soft
voice came. Gunmeister smiled, “why, even Master Kula is here!” Master Kula
emerged from the room. She looked at her two disciples and said, “well, these
rascals have a competition soon…” The two of them grinned. Gunmeister smiled
and returned to her room to rest. She then spotted a peculiar envelope on her
table. It read:
I have heard and seen
your skills, and you have defeated my man. Now, face the boss this Saturday at
12 p.m. at the same place you defeated Kai.
She was stunned. So,
a challenge. She stood up, picked up her jacket and moved to the arcade to train
and kick more butt.

The boss had already defeated 15 challengers in a row, and was getting bored. He longed a challenger like Gunmeister. Then, some gal slotted a token and pressed “Start”. She was none other than Gunmeister herself. “So, you cannot wait until Saturday eh?” The boss sneered at her. She chose her normal characters and waited for the boss to choose his. He chose Lin, Takuma, Maxima with Seth as striker. The match was on!
After a series of
strong fights and great combos, they were left with their last characters.
Gunmeister was left with Hinako while the boss was left with Maxima. The boss
was well known for his Maxima. He was able to make his opponent afraid of
dodging AND jumping! However, Gunmeister was the first one able to dodge and
jump with ease! Despite, that, Gunmeister was defeated by the boss’s Maxima!
She was stunned. The boss stood up to leave. “See you on Saturday, do beat me
that day! HAHAHAHA!!!!!!”
She dragged her feet
home. She was defeated, mentally. She could not bring herself to lose on
Saturday again. She wanted to stop King Of Fighters.
Stardust knew that
something was wrong with her sister, she wondered what. Crescent Prince was
whacked by the ever pleasant and kind Gunmeister for talking too much. When
Stardust knew the problem, she went over to Gunmeister and slapped her. “Trust
you to be so weak. Where is your fighting spirit?” Gunmeister stared blankly
at the ground. “You told us that no matter what happened, we have to be
strong. Look at you! Such a disappointment!!!” Gunmeister looked away in
shame. “Stardust!” Crescent Prince shouted as she slammed herself in her
room. He looked at Gunmeister and left the house. Kula looked at her with
disappointment.
