Jinn
and Hyun, hearing Foxy’s commands, immediately rushed to Foxy’s location.
“Back up, huh? No way you’re gonna get away from me, N.E.S.T.S!” Matthew
snarled. He was more like a rabid dog than human, hatred glowing in his eyes.
“Jinn, Hyun, don’t let them get away!” Foxy commanded. Immediately Jinn
and Hyun shape shifted into the snakes they were, ready to attack Matthew while
Foxy was ready to take on Michella. “Oh no you don’t!” Matthew warned.
Jinn and Hyun glared at him, trying to make him paralysed, but it didn’t work!
Matthew had somehow what surpassed his own power limit. Even Michella was
surprised at her brother’s strength…

Somewhere
in Southtown…
Mai, Andy, Terry, Mary, King and Ryo were in a teahouse, while suddenly a
blackout occurred and the wind blew strongly outside.
“Uh oh, I feel a strong presence…” Terry said. “Yes, really
strong…” Andy said. “Look guys! It’s snowing heavily!” Mai pointed
outside. “Huh? It shouldn’t be! In the middle of summer?” King blurted
out. “I think the world’s gonna end…” Ryo said. “Shut up, kid. We have
disaster!” King chided. “Kid? Who are you calling kid?” Ryo protested.
“You!” King said back. A minor ‘argument’ with teases erupted from both
of them. “Ok now, quit it! We have to find out who caused this!” Terry said.
King and Ryo quieted down, but they didn’t top sticking their tongues out at
each other…

Back
At N.E.S.T.S…
Matthew surely won the fight for Jinn and Hyun were already sprawled on
the floor, in their human form and defeated. Matt looked at them in disgust.
“Look at you guys. I was just warming up and you were defeated,” he said.
Foxy, however, was about to finish the very weak Michella who was further
injured by Foxy. Unsuspectingly, Matthew froze her with his ‘Freezing Bomb’
move (He takes a tiny capsule from his belt, presses it and throws it at Foxy).
Matthew’s ice was so strong, Foxy was frozen before she could react. He then
slashed her with his ‘Ice Slasher’ move, Foxy was heavily injured due to the
attacks she took, even thought it was only two. “Let’s go, sis, we gotta get
outta this place!” Matt said, carrying Michella on his back as he ran out of
the cartel…

Southtown…
After healing Michella with his healing powers, they proceeded to walk
around Southtown. “Thank, bro,” Michella said. “You’re my sis, I can’t
let anything happen to you! I can’t face Dad and Mom like that!” Matt
comforted his little sister. Michella was touched. “Let’s go, Michelle,”
Matt said. “To where?” “Anywhere.” As they walked, King, Ryo, Terry and
Mary sensed something about those two. “Let’s go question them about this
strange phenomenon,” Terry suggested. The four of them walked to Matt and
immediately both Matt and Michella took their ready fighting stances. They were
surprised, as Terry, Mary, King and Ryo weren’t interested in fighting them.
“What do you want? Are you from N.E.S.T.S?” Matt questioned hardly.
“No, we are not. In fact, we are against N.E.S.T.S,” Ryo explained. Matt
didn’t believe them at first, and suddenly Michella said, “ I know you guys!
You are Terry Bogard, Blue Mary, King and Ryo Sakazaki from the King of
Fighters!” The four of them smiled. “Really?” Matt asked, squinting his
eyes. Terry, Mary, King and Ryo nodded. They had a brief warm-up conversation,
and pretty soon Matt mellowed and were chatting with them in a coffee shop.
“Would you mind telling us your origin?” King requested. “Sure, here
goes:”
“I was born in 1984, and Michella is born in 1985. Our Mom is American,
and she died after giving birth to Michella. My dad is Japanese and he was
devastated by Mom’s death. When I was 10, my Dad taught me the secrets of the
Yiurushi clan. We were destined to
inherit the blue ice flames, which can both burn and freeze. I refused to
believe the fact that we had powers. Later that day, our Dad died. He died in a
fight with Kuen, a psychic-poison wielding ‘monster’! I felt guilty for
myself, and swore to take revenge on that ‘monster’! From that day we lived
under the care of Jyuh Takaragushi. He was our father’s friend… now that he
has died of old age, me and Michella are alone,” Matt concluded his story.
“Don’t worry, you can live with me. My brother and I need company and
I have two extra rooms in my home!” King said. “Thanks. I’ll be glad
to,” Matt smiled. Ryo got green
with jealousy. “Don’t worry,” King whispered in Ryo’s ear with a
mischievous grin. “What happened to the weather? It snowed in the middle of
summer!” Ryo said. Matt told them about his encounter with N.E.S.T.S. “Maybe
it was my brother. He broke out of the glass tube and had increasingly strong
powers. By the way, the Yiurushi have a tendency to change the weather if their
power goes off the limit,” Michella chimed in. “Now, since Matt has his
power level going down, I guess it would be sunny again in a few minutes,” she
continued.
What Michella said was true, as the snow disappeared all of a sudden and the sun came back… Terry, Mary, King and Ryo could hardly believe this…
